Bandcamp Series: Blodwen - When Autumn Ends (2013)

Blodwen, which means mountain white flower in Welsh, are a symphonic power metal band from Indonesia.  They were formed in 2004 by lead singer Bernice Nikki and released their first album Black Symphony in 2010 under Japanese label Red Rivet Records. Unfortunately, 2011 saw three members of the band quit to pursue other interests, leaving Bernice and guitarist Alexander Lexy with a band to reassemble.

In 2013, with new members Bayu Djody Gondokusumo on Bass and Nikolas Praditya on Drums, they released the long awaited EP When Autumn Ends and in 2014, they were officially contracted by Crysella Records.

The band mix power metal, theatre elements, symphony orchestra and neo-classical guitar into their music and this is beautifully showcased on the EP.  It is available to buy from Bandcamp for just $4 US.
