The very first band to be announced for the Infernal Orchestra stage are black metal heathens Formicarius! Hailing from the UK's capital of London, this malevolent quintet string together blasphemous riffs and cthonian symphonies with monstrous vocals for a sound that would ensure anyone that listens to them is excommunicated immediately from the church.
The band released Lake of the Dead earlier this year which we featured on the site. It can be purchased from Bandcamp for a Name Your Price fee: http://formicariusband.bandcamp.com/releases
Joining Alwaid, Orpheum and Suddenlash and Theatres Des Vampires on the Midnight Waltz stage are Old Corpse Road, Winter Storm and Reign of Sirius.
Old Corpse Road hail from the bitter northern counties of England and expertly weave tales from British legend with their take on symphonic black metal. Having played shows with some of the best bands on the scene, Old Corpse Road are a treat for those who witness their druidic rituals live.
Winter Storm might look like a typical run of the mill "female-fronted" band but their arsenal of crepuscular medleys and misty vocals prove that they're a band that can play with the big names of metal. Speaking of the big names of metal, they recently supported Leaves' Eyes and played Bloodstock Festival, making them a band to watch out for.
And Reign of Sirius have the honour of opening up the Midnight Waltz stage. Having being well received at the first Northern Symphony, RoS were an obvious choice for Northern Symphony 2016 and with their recent shows with Alwaid and Leaves' Eyes plus two albums under their belt, Reign of Sirius are a must-see band!
Early bird tickets are still available until 00:00 on 15th November for only £10 from http://northernwyntermusic.bigcartel.com/. After 00:00 on 15th November, tickets will be priced at the full price of £15.
